Image Adds The Edge of Love and Shark Week: Great Bites Collection to Blu-ray Release Slate
Image Entertainment has announced they will be bringing two more titles to Blu-ray Disc in July. Set to arrive on July 14, 2009 day and date with their DVD counterparts are The Edge of Love, the World War II drama set in London’s Bohemian underground, about Dylan Thomas starring Matthew Rhys as the poet with Sienna Miller and Kiera Knightley as his two love interests and Discovery Channel’s Shark Week: Great Bites Collection.

Marantz (owned by D&M Holdngs), not to be outdone by US manufacturer Oppo whose BDP-83 universal Blu-ray player (tentatively priced at US$499) is expected sometime this spring in the US and by Denon ( also owned by D&M Holdings) whose DVD-A1UDCI universal Blu-ray player is priced at US$3,800 has been pushed back to later this year, has been working on their own universal player.
Two More Blu-ray Audio Titles Coming From 2L (Lindberg Lyd)
Norwegian record label 2L has announced they will be releasing two more Blu-ray Audio Disc titles, Mozart/Grieg Vol. II and The Nordic Sound. The Blu-ray Discs, packaged together with hybrid multichannel SACDs (Super Audio CDs) in two-disc sets, will contain only limited video content for menu navigation, just as 2L’s previous Blu-ray Audio Disc titles DIVERTIMENTI and Sonar.
