An escapist martial arts special effects fantasy film that is never too serious, Woochi is just the right film to pull you out of a dull weekend.
Even though we’ve seen this one before, Bedevilled works thanks in part to it’s strong performances.
This South Korean spy thriller doesn’t quite reach the heights of Bond, Bourne, or Tinker Tailor, but the energetic action sequences and kick-butt performance from gorgeous female lead Soo Ae make it one worth watching.
Quick is South Korea’s answer to Speed, only faster, funnier, and better. The Blu-ray from Shout! Factory is also a home theatre winner.
This gritty wartime action-drama captures some spectacular battle scenes, only faltering when it tries to incorporate its themes of unlikely camaraderie between enemies. Still, My Way will satisfy fans of the genre and offers up a more than solid slice of home theatre entertainment on Blu-ray.
Despite a less than stellar 3D conversion, this Korean sc-fi thriller is a satisfying mix of Alien and The Host that sci-fi geeks are sure to appreciate. The 2D transfer and strong lossless 5.1 soundtrack more than compensate for the 3D’s shortcomings.
