Nicolas Cage and Elisabeth Shue both turn in Oscar-worthy performances in this bleak and doleful love story set in the seedy underbelly of Las Vegas. The 1080p VC-1 transfer to Blu-ray of the Super 16mm source is far from perfect, but it will still be the best home video option for this excellent drama.
